A brief description about Colombo Events1) Dhamma Program
Annual Dhamma Program is organized as the years' first event of  Colombo Branch. All members of Colombo get a relax from their busy life  in Colombo and participate in Dhamma activities whole the day.
Last year it was held at Pothgulgala Viharaya (in between Warakapola & Polgahawela) 
2) Rathnasabhapathy Scholarship Program for College Undergraduates
In memory of this great principle/Teacher , Matale Science College  PPA-Colombo Branch-awards  seven scholarships to needy students(four to  Science College and three to Heartly college students) every year who  secure admission to the Universities. 
3)Cricket Match with Old Thomians Colombo and Members' day
Cricket match with Old Thomians, Matale is a fun event organized by  Colombo branch with the aim of enhancing relationship between  Scientists and Thomians in Colombo. Members of PPA and their  family members of  both schools  attend this event and have a joyful day.
Last match was held on 19th, June at Buddadasa Stadium, Palawatta and we won the match by 8 wickets
4)Annual Medical Camp
Medical camp is the biggest event organized by Colombo branch with  the participation of hundreds of past pupils.Camp is normally held at a  rural area so villagers can benefit. Doctors and specialists including our past pupils examine the patients and all the medicines, other necessaries are provided to them.Normally camp consists of an Eye Clinic, Well-women clinic, clinic for children and a Dental clinic.
Last year, 6th Medical Camp was held at Matale, bandarapola Vidyalaya.
5)Family Get-together
Family Get-together is the years' last event organized and all  the members participate and have a joyful evening after a hard work of one year.Our beloved Jaffna  Hartley College OBA -Colombo members and their families too attend this  event.

6) Annual General Meeting
AGM is held memorizing all the years' hard work and a new committee is appointed for the incoming year.
